Before You Begin
To ensure the user can be fully protected and install BlackfishID on their device, the administrator must first invite them to the corresponding workspace.
Once invited, the user will receive an initial email invitation. After accepting it, a second email will be sent with the license and download link.
By default, users are assigned the Member role. Please note that this role does not grant access to the platform, but it is required for proper licensing and device association.
Method 1: Download from the Platform
1. Access the Platform
Go to the Security Controls section.
Click on Device Protection.
2. Start the Download
In the expanded menu, click Install.
Download options for Windows and macOS will appear.

3. Download the Installer
4. Install the Program
Open the downloaded file.
The setup screen will open. Click Continue.
5. Enter the unique license
During installation, the user must enter the unique license received by email.
This license is personal, unique, and non-transferable, and it must be entered exactly in the designated field to successfully complete the device activation.
6. Complete Installation
Wait a few seconds for the process to complete.
Once finished, you will see a confirmation screen.

Method 2: Download from Email
1. Access the Invitation Email
Open the BlackfishID email and click the download link.
2. Download the Installer
3. Install the Program
Open the downloaded file.
The setup screen will open. Click Continue.
4. Associate the Device with the Workspace
Enter the unique license received in your email.
This license is personal and non-transferable and allows your device to be properly associated with the corresponding workspace.
5. Complete Installation
Wait a few seconds for the process to complete.
Once finished, you will see a confirmation screen.

Method 1: Installation on macOS from the Platform
1. Access the platform
Go to the Security Controls section within the main dashboard.
Click on Device Protection.
2. Select operating system and get the installer
Click the Install button.
A pop-up window will appear where you should select macOS as the operating system.
Then, copy the link or click directly on it to download the .pkg file.
3. Download the profile
The file will be downloaded as blackfishid.pkg.
Save it to your computer, preferably in the Downloads folder.
4. Open the downloaded file
Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation.
5. Instructions to complete the installation
Follow the steps in the installer.
You can double-click the notification that appears or go to System Settings > Profiles and double-click the BlackfishID profile.
A message will appear where you can verify that the manufacturer is BlackfishID.
6. Confirm the installation
You will see that the device now appears as “supervised and managed by BlackfishID.”
Wait a few seconds, and you should see the following profiles installed on your system.
Once the installation is complete, the confirmation message will appear.
8. Finish installation
After the process is complete, your device will be properly protected and managed by BlackfishID.
