Secure Browsing

Protect your browsing from malicious downloads and websites.

Updated over 10 months ago

Secure Browsing is a key feature of BlackfishID, designed to protect users during their online activity. This security control acts as a shield against potentially harmful downloads, ensuring that devices remain secure while users browse the internet.

How does it work?

Secure Browsing scans downloaded files in real time to identify potential threats. If a file or site is deemed dangerous, it is automatically blocked, and an alert is generated on the BlackfishID platform to notify the user of the risk.

This functionality is directly linked to Device Protection, as blocked malicious downloads are also reflected in the automated security actions.

Available actions from the platform:

  • Detect and remove malicious downloads: Protect devices by automatically deleting harmful files.

  • Generate alerts: Notify users about threats detected during browsing.

  • Review blocked activity: Provide details of blocked pages or files for transparency.

Benefits of Safe Browsing:

  1. Complete automation: No manual intervention required to detect and handle risks.

  2. Enhanced user security: Ensures a safer and more reliable browsing experience.

  3. Centralized management: Monitor all blocked activities from the BlackfishID dashboard.

Relation to other security controls:

Safe Browsing complements Device Protection, strengthening security against malicious downloads and suspicious internet activities. Together, these controls provide comprehensive protection against digital threats.
